Angry Birds Trilogy hitting consoles

Angry Birds Trilogy will be coming to consoles this year.

The trilogy will include the original Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons and Angry Birds Rio and will be released for Xbox 360, PS3 and Nintendo 3DS.

The compilation will feature Kinect, PS Move and StreetPass support with each stage having its own leaderboard.

Rovio’s vice president of games, Petri Jarvilehto, told IGN: “You can think of the game as the ultimate collector’s edition.

“There are new cinematics, extras and other entertaining content. In addition all of the existing material has been uprezzed and re-treated for the high-resolution and big screen.

“The backgrounds have been animated, we’ve added lighting modes, reactive backgrounds, the list goes on and on.”

Last month an Activision spokesperson revealed plans to bring Angry Birds to consoles.
