“Painting is poetry that is seen rather than felt, and poetry is painting that is felt rather than seen.” - Leonardo Da Vinci.

Himzu Bavic a Lebanese artist, game designer, conceptual artist and illustrator and Art Director at Lebanese studio Game Cooks, has created something to pay homage to fallen Jordanian pilot Moath Kasassbeh.

ISIS burned the Jordanian pilot alive. Bavic was moved and as a tribute to the Jordanian hero he drew an illustration of a phoneix that represents Kassasbeh.

"The Phoenix is a bird that rises from the ashes and knowing that Moath was a pilot who was burned, I inevitably saw him in the form of a phoenix rising in glory."

Bavic has a huge portfolio, which we are quite fond of. You can find some of his work below. Keep checking our site for the full interview with Bavic.
