The Xbox One is now available to buy in the UAE, with bundles starting at 1,749 AED.

Microsoft's newest console can now go head-to-head with Sony's PlayStation 4 in the region, with 53 games available at launch.

That includes exclusives such as Forza Motorsport 5 and Ryse: Son of Rome.

"The Xbox One is Microsoft's next-gen console and has already got fans excited," said head of Xbox Division at Microsoft Gulf Kerim Ozbakirci.

"We had a very successful pre-booking period for the Xbox One bundle with the Kinect sensor. Over the next few months we have a number of exciting titles that will release for our fans in the UAE which will give them the best games, most advanced multiplayer experience and breakthrough gaming technology."

Titles such as Sunset Overdrive and Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be making their way to the Xbox One in the coming months, while anticipation for the console in the UAE has been rising.

"We haven't seen this level of excitement for a gaming console in a long time," Virgin Megastores regional channel manager Toufic Eido claimed.

"Fans have been eagerly waiting for this day and we are really happy that we have been able to bring them this next generation console.

"This launch is just the beginning and we are confident fans will continue to line-up as we launch new titles in the UAE."

You can pick up an Xbox One with a 500GB hard drive, Blu-ray player, built-in Wi-Fi, wireless controller, HDMI cable, chat headset and 14-day trial of Xbox Live Gold for 1,749 AED.

Alternatively you can get a bundle for 2,199 AED that comes with all of that plus the Kinect, allowing you to use the motion sensor technology for gaming, Skype and much more.
