FIFA 14 World Cup modes delayed

EA has delayed the FIFA 14 World Cup modes across all platforms.

The update to add a separate World Cup mode for FIFA Ultimate Team on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC was initially scheduled to launch today.

The update would also add a World Cup Kick Off mode for PS4 and Xbox One, but EA has pushed it back to "ensure the best possible experience".

"Knowing that our players have been so excited for these new modes made it a tough decision," said EA.

"However, as we progressed through final testing we encountered unforeseen issues that would affect all users who downloaded the update, so it's important to address them first before release.

"Our team is currently working hard to have the update ready to release in the coming days."

The World Cup mode for Ultimate Team will allow players to build a squad from the 32 teams competing in this summer's tournament.
