PS4 system update dated for 30 April

The next system update heading to the PlayStation 4 will land on 30 April.

The updated firmware will add the SHAREfactory video editing app, so players can cut and tweak clips from their games before uploading them to social networks.

The update will also give players the ability to pre-load digital games and it removes the PS4's HDCP block for capturing footage directly through HDMI.

PS4 owners should get a message prompting them to download the update as soon as it goes live.
