Former developers on Bioshock have revealed their first game at The Fullbright company.

Gone Home is a non-violent first person shooter which has elements of investigation as well as exploration. The gameplay focuses around a modern residential area in which you explore what has been going down, one for a better phrase.

We're not quite sure what it is that has "gone down" but whatever it is must have something to do with going home…

"We're really interested in pushing toward simulation, both in the sense of the physics system but also in allowing the player to open any door or drawer they'd logically be able to and examine what's inside, down to small details," Fullbright co-founder Steve Gaynor on the Gone Home blog.

"If we do it right, these interactive and simulation elements will work together to make you that much more invested in discovering the story woven into the environment."

Much like Heavy Rain some might say…

The game will be built with the PC in mind as it uses the Unity engine, however it will also work on the gamepad. There hasn't been any information on whether the game will be PC exclusive, however the engine is considered the "PC native".

The developers have released a few screens which they hope outlines the atmospheric setting of the game, as well as a pre-alpha video. You can find all these below.
