EA's media briefing yesterday focused primarily on Battlefield and FIFA, but there was more.

The event kicked off with more Command & Conquer information, notably the introduction of a single player and co-op campaign which would be episodic content.

EA VP and GM Jon Van Caneghem said the development process was inspired and driven by the community.

“Since our announcement, the number one thing fans have asked for is new story content, and we listened."

The campaigns will consist of missions for the Asia-Pacific Alliance (APA), the European Union (EU) and the Global Liberation Army (GLA) with the APA missions coming first.

Each faction will have unique abilities and weapons and you'll be able to choose different generals and new game modes, as well as play co-operatively. The game will be out on PC later this year and will be free to play. You can find out more about it here.

But it wasn't just Command & Conquer, we also saw new gameplay from the Sims 4, it's focus this time being on emotional relationships. EA has said before they wanted to focus on the Sims themselves. We expect to see more intelligent Sims who are affected by their surroundings and the people around them. You can influence your Sims' emotions which will impact how they are in the world.

"Your ability to affect the mind, body and heart of these new Sims brings your stories to life in a way that is more personal than ever before,” said Rachel Franklin, VP and executive producer of the Sims.

But if you're not into the Sims, nor are you bothered by the new C&C, you'll be happy to hear they'll be more PopCap games, notably the introduction of Peggle 2 and the new Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare.

We'll have more on all the above in the coming days, so make sure you stay tuned. Do let us know if there's anything in particular you want to know about either by leaving a comment in the forums, at the end of our news posts or on our Twitter feed.
