Games don't come much bigger than EA Sports' multi-million dollar FIFA franchise and today at Gamescom we found out a tonne of information about everyone's favourite football title.

First off we were shown a completely new FIFA Legends mode for FIFA Ultimate Team. Players will now get the chance to play as their favourite footballers from the past, with huge names such as Pele and Ruud Gullit now available to control on the pitch.

This mode is exclusive to Xbox One, which is a massive coup for the console and something which could sway FIFA fans into choosing Microsoft's platform over a PlayStation 4.

Microsoft were also happy to announce that all pre-orders for an Xbox One will have a copy of FIFA 14 bundled into the box at no extra price. Expect those pre-orders to rise a little bit now, and maybe we can even hope for Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 to be bundled in with the PlayStation 4?

Elsewhere there was a lot of talk about the next-generation versions of FIFA 14, which will be powered by the new Ignite Engine. Players, stadiums and crowds will now be more realistic than ever thanks to the capabilities of the new engine. There's also new licences, so football fans can look forward to playing in the Chilian and Argentinian leagues in the new installment.

FIFA World was also touched upon, a free-to-play undertaking that EA Sports is experimenting with. It's been designed for those who don't have a console to play FIFA on, so average spec PCs can run it without much of a problem. Brazil and Russia are the first countries to have FIFA World, but expect it to expand into other territories later on. There's a good chance of it appearing in the Middle East regions at some point, and we'll be keeping a very close eye on that in the future.
