Jack Tretton, CEO of SCEA, has opened the Sony's E3 conference this year by saying that Vita would come into its own in the coming year and with the launch of the PS4.

Tretton told viewers that the "Vita is just beginning it's life cycle" boasting the library of already more than 125 Vita exclusive games.

He went on to say that the Vita proved that there was "a strong appetite" for digitally downloadable content and that indy developers would take advantage of the system.

We can expect to see Batman: Arkham Origins, Counter Spy, Destiny of Spirits, Doki Doki Universe, Killzone Mercenaries. God of War HD 1 and 2, FFX and FFXII, Flower and Dead Nation in the coming weeks.

Tretton also announced that this summer The Walking Dead to come to Vita.

With more connectivity and access to the PS4's game library as a wireless controller, the Vita looks set to be a part of the "PlayStation eco-system" over the coming years.
