Nintendo: This year is all about the games

Nintendo will be showing off games "for the people" later this year, according to Nintendo of America's Reggie Fils Aime.

The executive claimed during a Nintendo Direct broadcast that despite there being no new hardware to reveal, fans will still have plenty to cheer about.

Last month Nintendo made the decision to not attend this year's E3 expo in the same capacity as previous years.

Instead the company will focus on airing more Direct broadcasts to announce new software coming to the Wii U and 3DS.
