Ghostlight has announced that it will be bringing the two most recent handheld entries into the Shin Megami Tensei series to PAL regions.

At long last, PAL gamers will be able to get their hands on Devil Survivor 2 on the DS, and Devil Survivor Overclocked on the 3DS.

Devil Survivor Overclocked is a 3DS remake of the first Devil Survivor game and offers crisper graphics, full voice acting, and a brand new 8th day that acts as an epilogue to the game.

Devil Survivor 2, on the other hand, is a thematic sequel, focusing on a new band of characters as they struggle to survive what appears to be a demonic invasion of modern-day Japan.

Both Devil Survivor games are turn-based strategy RPGs in which players battle to survive in a rapidly collapsing world by hiring, merging, and using demons; the Shin Megami Tensei series on the whole is a bit like a heavily mythological Pokémon, if you like.

The choices the player makes vastly change the way the games play out. Depending on what you do different characters may live or die, and you may find yourself working for different factions for entirely different ends. And, naturally, the impending apocalypse makes the games rather dark.

Ghostlight is no stranger to bringing Atlus games to PAL territories, having been responsible for the PAL editions of Persona 2 and Persona 3 Portable on the PSP, but these titles mark their first forays into games on Nintendo systems. Fans, understandably, are deliriously happy.

No word yet on release dates, but we'll keep you posted.
