So this year's MEFCC (Middle East Film and Comic Con) came to an end on Saturday and ArabicGamers was there in full force to cover the event for you, our dear audience!

This was the second year the MEFCC took place, in Dubai's Mina Seyahi; ArabicGamers attended for the first time and took control of the game stage. It was a great chance to meet our fans, our audience and like minded gamers, editors and developers in the region. We were amazed with the turnout and were very excited to be running the Game Zone's stage area. Although we would love to have live streamed the event for you guys, there had been an issue with the internet, so we weren't able to get online at all, but fear not as we've recorded everything we did (and more) and we'll be putting the content up online later this week and next week. The videos will show all our panels, which we ran on localisation of content into Arabic, games journalism in the industry and even live art demos from artists such as Long Vo, lead artist on Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix and Stanley Lau, Imaginary Friends Studios' creative director.

Along with these panels we had some excellent gaming competitions with Codemaster's upcoming racing title Grid 2 and a talk from Sumeet Aggarwal from Video Games Live, a musical extravaganza showcasing the best of video games music.

In addition to all of this, Power League Gaming, the region's largest competitive e-sports league, held the first competition in the world to find the first finalist for Warner Bros.' upcoming title Injustice. The winner, who was interviewed by our very own May Jahjah, won an all expenses paid trip to Paris and will be competing the global competition.

But we couldn't have done this without the support of a few key partners, and I just wanted to take a moment to mention these guys. Extra Cake, the guys that set this all up, Red Distribution who pretty much helped lock down all our schedule, provided support and been key in making this happen, and PLG who provided us with a PC for the stage gaming. And of course, a special mention goes out to the team, Zainab Saccal our Arabic editor, Pierce Johnson our English editor and May Jahjah our presenter. Finally, but by no means least, we'd like to thank Dan Webb from x360a, a friend of the site and a dear personal friend who made sure that anything I couldn't do was taken care of.

But really this event was all about you guys, getting to meet you and we're really excited with the way that the event went. We're already planning next year's event, so it'll be bigger, faster, harder and pretty cool, especially with the new generation of consoles…!

We look forward to seeing you soon, and make sure you check out our gallery of images. All the videos will start appearing online in the coming days, so make sure you check back.

Thank you again to everyone and see you next year!
