Eidos Montreal producer Joe Khoury has spoken of the importance of ArabicGamers.com in the current gaming climate.

Khoury was born and raised in Lebanon before moving to Canada to pursue his dream of creating games.

Now he's happy there's an outlet like ArabicGamers.com to provide the Middle East with quality content.

"I'm going to tell you something: I am so, so happy that there is a website like your site now, I think it's about time," he told us during a Tomb Raider preview event last week.

"I think fans of Tomb Raider or video games in general, every time I go back to Lebanon we talk video games and they're knowledgeable, they're as interested as the rest of the world and it's taken a while for us to have our own media.

"It's a huge deal and as much as we know Lara here, they know her in the Middle East."

Khoury also encouraged the Arabic audience to give the team feedback on how they faired with Tomb Raider.

"I just want to say hi to all the Arabic audience, from all over, and I hope they enjoy the game and if we cross paths one day, I would love to hear your thoughts, what you liked, what we need to improve and feedback because we have years and years and years of experience that I think having a voice like ArabicGamers is encouraging."

We'll be publishing the full video interview with Joe Khoury later this week and making an important announcement concerning Arabic Tomb Raider fans.

In the mean time you can read our multiplayer preview here or take a look at our single player preview here.
