Uncharted could become a PS4 remaster

Naughty Dog's Uncharted series of games is a "good candidate" for a PS4 remaster, claims Sony president Shuhei Yoshida.

The Last of Us Remastered is heading to the PS4 in the coming weeks, and the updated version will come with 60 frames per second gameplay at 1080p.

It seems like more remakes could be on the way, too, with Yoshida touting the benefits of Uncharted.

"There are requests from some consumers for games that were released later in the generation, like Uncharted, which people might have missed," he told Eurogamer.

"That would be a good candidate. We don't want to flood the market with remade games either."

Yoshida went on to say that almost half of PS4 owners didn't actually own a PS3.

"That's lots of people that missed exclusive PS3 titles like The Last of Us, so it's a great way to welcome those people back to PlayStation, saying this is what you missed."

The next installment in the Uncharted series, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, will launch 2015.
