Forza Horizon 2 won't be launching with microtransactions, according to creative director Ralph Fulton.

The racer was officially announced earlier this month, set in Southern Europe and featuring a list of over 200 cars to drive.

Fulton said that Horizon 2  had been designed to be fair and won't be releasing with a tokens system like Forza Motorsport 5.

"The approach we've taken is that we've designed our game at Playground Games from the ground up to be fair, to be fun, to be rewarding," he told DigitalSpy.

"That's incredibly important for us. For that reason, we will launch in September without tokens.

"We've got an amazing list of 200 plus cars, and we want you to explore it. We want to enable you, at very regular intervals, to be able to change your car, pick a new one from the list. If that doesn't work out, you're able to buy a new one really quickly."

Forza Motorsport 5, developed by Turn 10, received a large amount of criticism for its microtransaction system that featured very highly priced vehicles.
