Watch Dogs is fastest selling game in Ubisoft history

Ubisoft has confirmed that Watch Dogs is the fastest selling title in the publisher's history.

The brand new IP managed to shift more copies in the first 24 hours than any other Ubisoft title, overtaking popular franchises like Assassin's Creed, Splinter Cell and Far Cry.

"Watch Dogs is an amazing achievement and our teams should be proud that the creativity, innovation and long hours they invested in making this game are paying off," said company CEO Yves Guillemot.

"It's great to see so many players enjoying the game, and it shows that Watch Dogs has cracked the code for developing a new blockbuster IP and a thoroughly new-gen experience."

Sales figures haven't been released, but the number is based on internal estimates for worldwide sales data on all platforms.
