Mass Effect 4 and Dragon Age 3 will use Frostbite 3

Upcoming Mass Effect 4 and Dragon Age 3 will both be created using the recently revealed Frostbite 3 engine.

Frostbite 3 was unveiled yesterday when Battlefield 4 was given its first official trailer.

Now several games published by EA will presumably use the new technology, with Mass Effect 4 and Dragon Age 3 being some of the first.

"For everyone who's been asking after the #BF4 reveal, #DA3 and the next Mass Effect are also using Frostbite 3," tweeted BioWare's Aaryn Flynn.

"It's awesome."

BioWare Montreal studio director Yanick Roy added: "This BF4 gameplay video is spectacular, and a great way to see what the engine of the next Mass Effect is capable of!"
