Slim PlayStation Vita revealed
Sony has revealed a redesigned, slimmer version of the PlayStation Vita for Japan.
The new handheld model is 20% thinner and 15% lighter than the current one, and 1GB of onboard memory is included so players don't need a memory card straight away.
The slim Vita's battery life has been boosted by an hour and it'll be available to buy in yellow, pink, white, lime green, grey and light blue.
Sony also confirmed that the slim Vita's OLED screen has been replaced by an LCD one.
"Thanks to the rapid progress of LCD technology in recent years, the new display provides users with the highest-level image quality, perfect for deep and immersive gaming experience that is at the core of PS Vita," said Sony.
So far the redesigned Vita has only been confirmed for an October launch in Japan, while Sony is keeping quiet on whether it will hit other regions.
