"No clear plans" for Gran Turismo 6 on Vita
Sony has confirmed that right now there are "no clear plans" to bring Gran Turismo 6 to the PlayStation Vita.
The latest in the popular racing franchise will launch next month on the PlayStation 3, but chances of a full version coming to the Vita appear slim.
Sony president of Worldwide studios Shuhei Yoshida said the handheld just isn't as powerful as the PS3.
"The PS Vita is a very powerful portable system, but not quite as powerful as PS3," he told IGN.
"As you can tell looking at GT6, it really is using the PS3 to a very high level. So it's going to be really hard to move GT6 onto PS Vita.
"I don't expect the whole game to be able to run on PS Vita. So there's no clear plans right now that we can talk about."
This could mean that Sony is thinking of bringing a stripped down version of GT6 to the Vita, but for now it's all speculation.
However it does appear as if GT6 could be released on the PlayStation 4 at some point, with series creator Kazunori Yamauchi claiming that there is a PS4 version "in mind".
