Information of a new SimCity game have emerged on EA Origin including information on multiplayer for up to 16 people.

The SimCity GlassBox engine was also among the information provided and described as a "revolutionary simulation technology that gives you the power to impact individual Sims lives, manage city level simulation, and balance multiple city simulations at once."

Combined with the multiplayer, the engine will allow players to build whole regions with their friends, according to the information on the site, and you'll be able to "collaborate or compete in regional and global challenges and make decisions that impact the greater SimCity World."

There will be two versions on sale, the Limited Edition and the Deluxe Edition.  Both will feature Super Hero HQs and and Evil Villain Lair plus new characters and crime waves.  The Deluxe Edition will also include regional city-states  as well as iconic locations and transport from Europe, such as the Eiffel Tower and London buses.

"We’d like to thank the millions of fans who have helped make SimCity synonymous with the city-building genre. This is a franchise that means the world to us at Maxis and we’re happy to be bringing it back home where we are reimagining it for an entirely new generation of players," said Maxis SVP Lucy Bradshaw

The game certainly feels as though it has a more Sid Meier's Civilazation or even a Tropico feel.

"Create the city you desire and make the choices that shape your city and power the Sims within it. Every decision, big or small, has real consequences.

"Invest in heavy industry and your economy will soar - but at the expense of your Sims' health as pollution spreads. Implement green technology and improve your Sims' lives while risking higher taxes and unemployment."

You can find more information on EA Origin site.
