Sam Raimi not directing World of Warcraft movie

Sam Raimi has revealed he will not be directing the upcoming World of Warcraft movie.

Known for his work on Spider-Man and Evil Dead, Raimi has said he took another job directing a new Wizard of Oz film so he couldn’t work on World of Warcraft.

Raimi told Crave Online: “Actually, they don’t have me directing World of Warcraft anymore because when I took the Oz job, they had to move on to another director.

“They had to start making it.”

Raimi was originally attached to direct the World of Warcraft film in 2009.
