Activision has confirmed Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will come to the last generation of consoles.

The publisher had not announced the game’s arrival to last gen which led to speculation the platforms may be dropped. However a post on the official page confirms the game will, in fact, make it’s way over and not leave the still massive user base hanging.

"We know that there are still some fans that haven't made the transition to the new console hardware," says Activision. But there will be compromises. The PS3 and X360 versions will only have a two-player co-op campaign rather than four, in addition to the obvious graphics differences between last and current gen consoles.

"There will also be some other features and functionality built specifically for the new generation of consoles that cannot be supported on Xbox 360 and PS3," the statement confirms.

"We'll be sharing more information regarding feature differences from one console generation to another later this year as launch on November 6 approaches."
