Sony has announced an Arabic language option on the PS Store for Arabic gamers in seven Middle Eastern countries.

The announcement has been long awaited and will be available, Bahrain, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE. The update also allows for CASHU payments for the Saudi Arabian market; a “quick, secure, and convenient way for PS4 gamers to get their hands on the latest games as soon as they are available” according to the press release.

To change the settings, gamers will need to follow these steps:

[Settings] > [PlayStation Network/Account Management] > [Account Information] > [Language].

Next, enter the password, select Arabic from the drop down menu, and select [Confirm].

Finally, select [Confirm] again in Arabic.

For gamers to update their language settings on the web, they should complete the following simple steps.

First navigate to PS Store on the web and sign in using their PlayStation®Network ID and click on the Online ID at the top of the page, and then choose [Account Settings].

Next click on [Account] > [Account Details] and under [Identity] select [Edit]. And finally, Arabic is to be selected as the language and the changes saved.

Sony has plans to continue to expand the PS Store in the region and beyond. We’ll have more news if any other territories become available.
