Battlefield Hardline beta passes six million players

The latest Battlefield title, developed by Visceral Games, hit over six million players during the beta period.

The news came via a tweet from the developers VP and general manager Steve Papoutsis; “"Wow, we've passed 5 MILLION players in the #BFHardline beta! So proud of our team. Glad you're having fun and keep that feedback coming," before amending the figure to six million.

Papoutsis later posted on the EA blog to thank the community.

"We’d like to take this opportunity to thank the community one more time. We love the two way dialogue we’ve established," praising players for the “millions of miles” driven in Hotwire (game mode), “stolen billion of dollars in Heist” and shown “mad love” for Conquest, he said he couldn’t wait for players to play the “whole package.”

The game launches on March 17th in the US and Canada and three days later in Europe and, we presume, the Middle East.
