More details for recently announced Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare have emerged, including the news that players will be outfitted in a slick cybersuit.

Advanced Warfare is set in 2054, making it the most futuristic entry in the Call of Duty series yet.

That means players will get to experience the benefits of enhanced tech such as the cybersuit, which allows you to boost-dodge, climb with magnetic gloves, jump higher distances, hover in mid-air and enable optic camouflage.

Other futuristic gadgets include energy weapons, a vehicle based on actual Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected vehicles and grenades that reveal nearby enemies on your visor.

The plot surrounds a terrorist organisation called the KVA who incite a massive catastrophe, and players will be taking control of a soldier called Private Mitchell.

Mitchell is voiced by Troy Baker, the voice behind Joel in The Last of Us and Joker in Batman: Arkham Origins, but apparently he'll only be speaking during cutscenes.

There'll also be a co-op mode in Advanced Warfare, but it's unclear right now whether this will be separate from the main campaign.

All Advanced Warfare DLC will release first on Xbox platforms, continuing the deal between Activision and Microsoft from the past few years.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is the first title in the series to be developed solely by Sledgehammer Games, with the studio making versions for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.

An unnamed studio is handling the PS3 and Xbox 360 ports, and the game is due to hit stores worldwide on all platforms on 4 November.
