Dark Souls II now available on Steam

Bandai Namco has confirmed that Dark Souls II is now available to download from Steam.

The highly anticipated sequel to one of 2011's biggest games launched on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 last month, and now PC players can finally get in on the action.

The PC version comes with increased texture resolution and enhanced frame rates, while there's support for both gamepads and mouse-and-keyboard control options.

"After the amazing console version release in March 2014, we are bringing the unforgiving yet beguiling universe of Dark Souls to PC gamers," said the publisher's marketing director Mathieu Piau.

"Prepare to face incredible and extremely tough enemies, prepare to discover wonderful lands which hide countless secrets waiting for you, prepare to go beyond death with Dark Souls II."
