PS4 system update adds SHAREfactory

Sony has detailed the latest system update for the PlayStation 4, which includes the launch of video editing app SHAREfactory.

The app will let users combine captured video clips for editing, personalise them and then share them with their friends all around the world on social networks such as Facebook.

You can even add text, stickers, audio tracks and video commentary using the PlayStation Camera.

Elsewhere the update will allow players to turn off HDCP to enable direct capture over HDMI.

An auto-download feature is also being added, so PS4 players can pre-download selected pre-order games up to four days before release, making games ready to play the minute they launch.

The update hasn't yet been given a release date but expect to hear more very soon.
