Techland is aiming to have zombie adventure Dying Light running at 1080p and 60 frames per second on both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

The studio is confident it can reach its target, with the PS4 version already shown to be running at 1080p during the VGX Awards at the weekend.

"We aim to have the final game running at 1080p, 60FPS on both PS4 and Xbox One, and it seems that we will be able to achieve this," tech director Jakub Klarowicz revealed to GamingBolt.

"Obviously we're still working on the game itself and its optimisation, but we aim to provide that kind of experience when the game launches."

Dying Light will also be coming out on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2014, but those versions will still hold up well.

Producer Tymon Smektala claimed that the enemy AI and number of zombies on the screen would remain the same no matter what version you played.

"On the other hand, we also wanted to use the extreme processing power of PS4, Xbox One and PC, so these versions use all advancements in the field of graphical fidelity, including our very advanced physically based lighting model," he said.
