Capcom forecasts 1.2 million Dead Rising 3 sales

Capcom is hoping to sell 1.2 million copies of Xbox One exclusive Dead Rising 3 by 31 March 2014.

The zombie survival game releases as an Xbox One launch title later this month, and Capcom is confident about its chances for success.

"With intense action, an unmatched level of weapon and character customisation and immersive Xbox SmartGlass and Kinect integration, Dead Rising 3 delivers a heart-pounding experience unlike any other as players fight for survival in a massive, open world teeming with thousands of undead," said Capcom.

The publisher revealed that the original Dead Rising had sold 1.8 million copies, while 2010s multiplatform Dead Rising 2 shifted 2.7 million.
