Nintendo has confirmed that Sonic will be returning as a playable character in upcoming Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS.
The news was revealed during the latest Nintendo Direct broadcast, where clips of the famous blue hedgehog and his fighting moves were shown off in a short trailer.
Super Smash Bros. is launching in 2014.
