Diablo 3 not heading to PS4 until 2014

Blizzard has confirmed that Diablo 3 won't be hitting the PlayStation 4 until 2014.

The MMO will launch on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on 3 September, but now Blizzard has said next-gen players will have to wait a while to get their hands on it.

Presumably the Xbox One version will also be released sometime in 2014.

"The Diablo 3 team has actually just received the new PS4 development kits so the translation for that platform is yet to be done," said Blizzard employees [via Diablo Fans].

"Diablo 3 will not be a launch title for the PS4. It will come in 2014."

Apparently the PS4 version is also being tailor made specifically to suit the console, with developers keen to use the touchpad and Share button of the new DualShock 4 controller.
