Nintendo has confirmed that Splinter Cell: Blacklist will launch on the Wii U on 22 August.

The stealth action title had already been confirmed for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, but now it's officially hitting the Wii U as well.

Nintendo said the Wii U GamePad would be used for protagonist Sam Fisher's tools, weapon switching and other things.
