"Critical" day one patch a must for Far Cry 3 on PC

Ubisoft has released details of a "critical" day one patch for Far Cry 3 on PC.

The publisher insists that patch 1.01 should be installed for players to "benefit from an optimal game experience".

It will fix a variety of issues to do with multiplayer stability, voice chat, the map editor and more.

Those downloading the game from the Uplay PC client will have the patch installed automatically.
